The MCFPA is searching for a volunteer from our group
to represent us on the board of the newly formed Maryland Foster Parent
Association. This new group was formed in order to facilitate cooperation
and sharing of resources between all of the Maryland foster care jurisdictions.
Currently the chair for Montgomery County is vacant. Anyone willing
and able to serve as our representative should make yourself known
to the MCFPA board so that we can appoint a worthy candidate. The
Maryland Foster Parent Association board meets monthly, on the second Friday
of the month (during the day), in Severn, MD. Our representative
will need to be able to attend these meetings. Please call or email
